At the Centre for Family Medicine, we want to recognize and acknowledge our team members for all they do to make this place a Centre of Excellence.
Annually, we recognize individuals and teams that have made an impact at our Centre in the areas of team building, patient care, research, education and/or innovation.

Dr. Neil Arya - Recipient of the Geeta Gupta Equity and Diversity Award (2009)
Awarded by the College of Family Physicians of Canada, Dr. Neil Arya was selected as recipient of this year's award as an outstanding family physician who has shown leadership and advanced awareness working in his practice and community to foster respect and understanding of minorities and under-serviced populations.
Dr. Linda Lee - Family Physician of the Year, South-Western Ontario (2009)
Awarded by the Ontario College of Family Physicians, Dr. Linda Lee was selected as this year's Family Physician for her work in patient care, dementia care, teaching and faculty development.
Dr. Linda Lee - Recipient for SAGE Award (2009)
Awarded by the Regional Geriatric Program in South-Central Ontario, Dr. Linda Lee was selected as the recipient of the individual Service Award for Geriatric Excellence for her passion and commitment to improving the quality of life of seniors as evidenced by her development of the Memory Clinic and its training program which has developed other clinics across Ontario.
Dr. Joseph Lee - Recipient of Best Original Research Article Award (2009)
Awarded by Canadian Family Physician for an article entitled "Stress, burnout, and strategies for reducing them: What's the situation among Canadian family physicians?" February 2008.
Marg Alfieri - Recipient of the DC National Volunteer Award (2008)
Awarded by the Dietitians of Canada for chairing the Family Health Team (FHT) Registered Dietitian Network.
Dr. Linda Lee - Recipient of the Janus Continuing Professional Development/Continuing Medical Education Scholarship (2008)
Awarded by the College of Family Physicians to teach and conduct research in Dementia and Mild Cognitive Impairment.
Dr. Joseph Lee - Family Physician of the Year, South-Western Ontario (2006)
Awarded by the Ontario College of Physicians, Dr. Joseph Lee was selected for his leadership in establishing the Centre for Family Medicine FHT, the McMaster KW Family Medicine residency program, and the McMaster Waterloo Regional Medical School.
Dr. Joseph Lee - Centennial Award for Professional Excellence, Southwest Ontario Region (2005)
Awarded by the Rotary Club, Dr. Joseph Lee was selected for his leadership in medicine.
